These homeowners lived in their existing home while we built their new home 20 feet away in their backyard. They wanted to be able to move the house off the land and give it to another family, which reflects the heart of these clients perfectly.

Extra care was taken when finalizing details on these home quarter builds. Families will spend their whole life in this house and hopefully the next generation or two to follow. Knowing exactly how they use their house for family living on a busy working farm allowed us to come up with a beautiful design that flows and functions wonderfully.

The large open main floor welcomes family during the holidays, groups of teenage friends, and all the helpers during branding, calving, and harvest. The kitchen is the heart of this home where meals are lovingly prepared and allows space for gathering. The back of the house is swathed in sunlight as we put as much glass on this wall as possible to take advantage of the gorgeous prairie view. A custom-designed brick fireplace surround with built-in shelving and storage units are highlighted by a wall of shiplap. The main floor master suite is quietly tucked into the back corner of the house and is separated from the gorgeous ensuite with a custom tile shower, walk-in closet, and separate water closet.
